Join us for our annual quilt retreat day at the Heidelburg Restaurant from 10 am- 3 pm.
Bethanne will be lecturing on two topics: Faster Feathers and Quilted Texture from A to Zen.
Love feathers? Frustrated by how much time marking and planning can take? Learn to feather faster. Bethanne will teach her markless, spineless, no back tracking approach to one pass feathering. Learn 10 feather shapes no matter how high contrasting the quilting. Speed up feathering without giving up that feathered look. Based on the simple free hand feathers in Bethanne's book, from Fast to Fancy. The class is geared towards long arm quilters, but can be adapted to confident machine quilters on their domestic machine.
Lunch Break 12- 1 pm, included in lecture fee.
Quilted Texture from A- Zen
Traditional free motion backgrounds are a wonderful starting point, but what happens when you let yourself be influenced to natural patterns, everyday objects, macro photography and the art of zen-doodling? Be inspired by Bethanne's fresh take on backgrounds, with inspiration from every letter in the alphabet, perfect for fillin in those spaces in modern quilts. Great for confident quilters on the long arm or domestic machine.
