T-Shirt Quilts
I have made many T-shirt quilts for my customers and my family and they are a huge hit. What better way to kill two birds with one stone- you get to clear out the closet of all those old t-shirts and you have a wonderfully warm memory quilt. If you want a picture added to your quilt, that can be done as well for as little as $15 per additional block.
Flannel backing and cotton batting make the quilt very warm and soft. All quilts are fully quilted on my long arm machine so they will last for years to come. Sashing can be added to the blocks to make the quilt look more uniform in pattern design.
A nice throw sized quilt will take 20 t-shirts and cost $10 per t-shirt panel used. This includes the batting, flannel backing, binding and quilting. Adding sashing is an additonal $25. Adding a nice picture to the front or back of the quilt is another $15. Wall quilts can be made with as little as 4 to 9 t-shirts. A sleeve will be added to the back for another $10.
Imagine using all your daughter's soccer shirts with a picture of her in uniform on her new quilt, or all the biker shops your Harley rider has visited and collected with a picture of his bike on the front, or maybe all your son's shirts he has collected from cub scouts and boy scouts and turn them into a quilt when he turns into an eagle scout! The ideas for giving a t-shirt quilt are endless!
